Generally an easy cichlid to take care of, but take care of other tankmates.

Males 6", Females 4.5"
Where in the world are they from?
Native to Eastern parts of New Mexico, Central America, Guatemala and Honduras.
What is the ideal number to keep together?
Ideally should not be kept with other Cichlids.
What water conditions do they require?
Will accept temperatures from 20 - 28C and a pH range between 6.0 - 7.5.
What should you feed them?
Depending on size, will happily accept flakes when small, but will quickly require pellets of varying sizes. Frozen foods such as krill will also be greedily eaten.
How compatible are they with other fish?
Yes, but only of a similar size and temperament.
