    Aquarium Ceramic Rings At AllPondSolutions

If you are looking to update or replace your fish tank filter media, why not try our range of aquarium ceramic balls and rings?

Suitable for both fresh and saltwater aquarium filters, porous ceramic rings provide a large air surface to help develop the nitro-bacteria in your filter, and also help reduce ammonia levels.

    Buying guide

When choosing ceramic media, match the quantity to your filter's media basket size and your aquarium's volume — as a rough guide, fill at least a third to half of the available media space to give bacteria enough surface area to establish properly. Ceramic rings and balls work best as a biological stage, so position them after any sponge or floss layer that traps larger debris, ensuring water passing through is already reasonably clear. They're a one-off, low-cost addition that keeps working quietly for months, and unlike sponge media, they rarely need replacing entirely — a gentle rinse in old tank water during regular filter maintenance is usually enough to keep them performing well without disturbing the bacterial colony they host.
