Pressurised Pond Filter Systems

Choosing the right unit comes down to matching its rated capacity to your actual pond volume, not just the size of the fish you keep, so always size up rather than down if you're anywhere near the upper limit of a filter's range or if your pond is heavily stocked. Inside, look for a good balance of mechanical media (to trap debris) and biological media (to house the beneficial bacteria that break down fish waste), as this combination is what really keeps water healthy between cleans. Positioning matters too: keep the unit level, accessible for regular sponge rinsing, and not too far from the pond edge to avoid excessive pipe runs. Not sure what size you need?
