Largely distributed throughout Florida.
What is the ideal number to keep together?
Indivdual males require space to form territories. In an 80cm+ aquarium multiple males may be kept.
What water conditions do they require?
A pH range of 6.0 - 8.5 and a temperature of 24-28 degrees Celsius.
What should you feed them?
A micropredator, will benefit from introduction of live daphnia or artemia. Will accept sinking foods and frozen foods.
How compatible are they with other fish?
Generally a peaceful species, research tank mates carefully and provide plenty of space.
