Distributed throughout Papua New Guinea.

What is the ideal number to keep together?
In nature, this is a loose shoaling species. It it is recommended to keep with a small group of about 5.

What water conditions do they require?
A pH range of 6.5 - 7.5 and a temperature of 22-26°C.

What should you feed them?
This species prefers a diet of frozen foods such as bloodworm, daphnia and brine shrimp.

How compatible are they with other fish?
Great for community fish tanks of small, peaceful fish. Ideal tankmates would be rainbow fish, tetras, rasboras, corydoras and any other small peaceful species.

Can they be bred in captivity?
Peacock Gobies are easy to breed under the right conditions. These fish prefer to spawn in caves, so providing hiding spaces is essential.
