We would class these as an easy level of care

They can attain a size of 5cm

Where in the world are they from?
Found through Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

What is the ideal number to keep together?
Ideally kept in a school of 6 or more due to their scatty nature.

What water conditions do they require?
Ideally slightly acidic water conditions are provided between 5.0pH - 7.0pH however they will happily live in conditions ranging up to pH of 7.5 or higher. Temperatures should range between 24-26°C.

What should you feed them?
A micropredator in nature, so must be fed crushed flakes and frozen food items such as Artemia and Daphnia.

How compatible are they with other fish?
An ideal dither fish for small species of Cichlid such as Apistogramma sp. Will happily live with similarly sized Tetra, Livebearer, Rasbora and Barbs.
