How easy are they to care for?
Due to their small size we would class these to be a moderate level of care.

How large can they grow?

Where in the world are they from?
Widely distributed throughout Guyana and Suriname and small areas of the lower Amazon in Brazil.

What is the ideal number to keep together?
A gregarious species that should be kept in large numbers, ideally 10 or mroe.

What water conditions do they require?
Soft water with a pH og 4.0 - 7.0. Temperatures should range from 22 to 28 degrees celcius.

What should you feed them?
Due to their small size, crushed flake or small frozen foods such as cyclops or artemia.

How compatible are they with other fish?
A great choice as a form of dither fish for breeding Apistogramma and other dwarf cichlids.

Can they be bred in captivity?
Whilst not common it is possible to breed in captivity in mature densley planted aquariums.
