Where in the world are they from?
Found throughout central and western Nigeria and the Cameroon.
What is the ideal number to keep together?
This killifish is not suitable for a general community fish tank unless there is quite a lot of space and shelter. It is recommended to keep 2-3 females per male.
What water conditions do they require?
Ideal water conditions will be between 6.0pH - 7.5pH with temperatures ranging between 20-26°C.
What should you feed them?
Gardneri killifish should be given live or frozen food such as bloodworm, Daphnia or Artemia; Dry foods will also be accepted.
How compatible are they with other fish?
Ideal tank mates are peaceful and slow moving.
