Apparently, baby corals and fish can smell the difference between good and bad reefs, according to a study based in Fiji. When offered a choice between two water samples in the lab, the animals turned away from the stench of seaweed that invades depleted reefs, and were drawn to the smell of healthy coral.

A Canadian computer programmer aged 23, has set up a system to allow his fish to play the classic arcade game Street Fighter against each other. The fish control their players by swimming around their tank, and they have daily battles against each other.
