Pond Blanket Weed Water Treatment & Removal

When choosing a blanketweed treatment, check the treatable volume stated on the bottle against your actual pond size, as dosing too little won't tackle the problem and overdosing can stress fish and other pond life — if you're unsure of your figures, our pond volume calculator makes it easy to work out what you need before you buy. It's also worth considering how established your pond is: heavily planted or fish-stocked ponds may benefit from a treatment that's gentler on beneficial bacteria. Treating blanketweed quickly not only clears the water for a healthier-looking pond, it also gives your fish and plants room to thrive again, and most treatments are simply poured or diluted straight into the water, so you'll see results without any complicated setup.
