About the 30L Ultra Clear Glass Aquarium Fish Tank with LED Light & Filter
The AllPondSolutions APS range of all-in-one glass aquariums.
The APS-30 is a 30 litre freshwater aquarium built around a single idea - everything you need is already in the tank. The filter, pump, spray bar and LED lighting are all housed in the rear chamber and under the hinged cover, so there is no external filter box hanging off the back and no extra pipework to hide.
Built from 5mm ultra-clear low-iron glass, the APS-30 gives a noticeably truer, less green view of the water than standard float glass - the difference is most obvious on planted and shrimp setups.
Complete with an 8w blue and white LED light, a three-stage filter system, a 350 L/h pump and a built-in waste collection system, the APS-30 suits both newcomers to fishkeeping and anyone wanting a tidy desktop or sideboard tank.
The aquarium can be set up as a cold water or tropical tank. For a tropical setup a heater will be required (not included).
Features
- 5mm ultra-clear low-iron glass for a clearer, truer view of your tank and its inhabitants.
- Three-stage filtration housed in the rear chamber - one filter sponge for mechanical filtration plus 3 boxes of ceramic bio balls for biological filtration.
- Built-in waste collection system draws solid debris out of the water as it circulates.
- 350 L/h pump (2.5w) feeds a full-width spray bar, returning oxygenated water right across the tank.
- 8w LED lighting with separate blue and white modes.
- Hinged top cover with a feeding flap, so you can feed without lifting the lid.
- Sliding sand guard keeps substrate out of the pump chamber.
- Fitted UK 3-pin plug.
- Free 12 month guarantee.
Adding Fish
1) Before adding fish to your aquarium, you must check that your aquarium has cycled fully. This could take up to 3-4 weeks.
You can test this either by purchasing a test kit, or asking if your local aquatics store can do this for you (many stores offer this service).
2) Remember to allow a minimum of 3 litres of water for every 1cm of fish, including the tail (consult with your fish dealer for aquarium requirements when purchasing).
3) Float the fish in their bag inside the aquarium - add a little water from the aquarium to the bag and acclimatise for 15 minutes. This will regulate the water temperature in the bag and reduce the risk of stressing your inhabitants.
4) Using a net, carefully remove the fish from the bag and place in your aquarium. It is not recommended to pour the water from the bag into your aquarium.
5) Once all gravel, decor and inhabitants have been added, top up the aquarium with water to the bottom of the aquarium rim.
Feeding your fish
Once your fish have been introduced to the tank, avoid feeding for 48 hours.
Thereafter, it is essential that you DO NOT OVERFEED YOUR FISH.
The standard rule of thumb is to feed them only as much as they can completely consume in two minutes.
Please Note
This aquarium is for indoor freshwater use only. A heater is not included.
