Our 24w PLL UV bulb is a direct replacement lamp for pond and aquarium UV sterilisers, clarifiers and UV-equipped filters. It fits all major manufacturers' units - measure your existing bulb end to end and check it against the figure above before ordering.

When to replace it
A UV bulb stops working long before it stops glowing. The visible light remains while the invisible UV-C output fades, so a lamp that still lights up can be doing nothing for your water.
- Sterilisation: replace every 6 months (approximately 4,000 hours)
- Pond or aquarium clarification: replace every 12 months (approximately 8,000 hours)
Clean the quartz sleeve whenever you change the lamp - limescale and biofilm on the sleeve block UV-C just as effectively as a dead bulb does. See our UV Steriliser Maintenance Guide.
Easy to install. The lamp pushes into its holder and the quartz sleeve reassembles as it came apart. Always isolate the power supply before opening a UV unit.

Important
Pallet delivery is to the kerbside (at least 2 people will be needed to off-load depending on item size.)
The couriers WILL NOT be able to assist you with moving the aquarium/terrarium or chiller onto the premises. This is due to insurance purposes.
Express next day service orders must be placed before 3pm to ensure they are dispatched that day.
Deliveries will take place between 08:00-19:00 Monday to Friday. Delivery outside of these hours may be subject to an additional fee and local depot availability.
