About the Replacement 36w PLS UV Bulb / 2 Pin Lamp

Please note: this 36w PLS lamp has a 2 pin fitting and does not fit any AllPondSolutions unit. Every 36w AllPondSolutions steriliser and filter - CUV-136, CUV-172, CUV-236, CUV-272, SSUV-36, PFC-25000 and AUTO-PFC-25000 - takes the 4 pin 36w PLL lamp instead.

Count the pins on the base of your existing bulb before ordering. Four pins means you need the PLL. Two pins means this one.

When to replace a UV bulb

A UV bulb stops working long before it stops glowing. The visible light remains while the invisible UV-C output fades, so a lamp that still lights up can be doing nothing for your water.

  • Sterilisation: replace every 6 months (approximately 4,000 hours)
  • Pond or aquarium clarification: replace every 12 months (approximately 8,000 hours)
