How easy are they to care for?
Easy, as long as the correct set-up is provided, alongside lots of rocks and caves.

How large can they grow?
10-15cm

Where in the world are they from?
Endemic to the Lake Tanganyika.

What is the ideal number to keep together?
Keep in a group of ten or more individuals with a one male to three females ratio.

What water conditions do they require?
Will accept temperatures from 24 to 27°C and a pH range between 7.6 - 8.6.

What should you feed them?
Spirulina-based flake food supplemented with fresh green vegetables such as romaine lettuce and spinach.

How compatible are they with other fish?
Tropheus cichlids should really be kept with other Tropheus however they can be kept with Mbuna Malawi, Petrochomis and Goby Cichlids. 

Can they be bred in captivity?
Yes. A large number of females is needed for the best success. This keeps the aggression of the males divided.
