What is the ideal number to keep together?
The larger the tank the more you can keep together, this species likes to shoal so we would recommend 4+ depending on tank size. Smaller tanks can house individuals.

What water conditions do they require?
SG: 1.020-1.025, pH: 8.1-8.4
Tropical: 22-28 deg C (72-82 deg F)

What should you feed them?
A good mix of mysis, brine, copepods krill and fish/lobster eggs. Dried foods can be offered and will be accepted in time.

How compatible are they with other fish?
Highly compatible with many other peaceful species. May view very small shrimp such as sexy shrimp as food.

Can they be bred in captivity?
Yes, they are a mouth brooding species and often breed in captivity if the conditions are right.
