LED aquarium lighting has now become a viable replacement for metal halide and T5 aquarium lighting - soft and hard corals are able to thrive under high output LED's. Due to the vast improvements being made in LED aquarium lights they are now just as suitable for coral as halides but with out the negatives that come with running a high energy consumption halide system.
LED lighting can be as much as 60% more energy efficient than traditional halide systems and in some cases even more energy efficient. On top of this halide bulbs need changing usually at the very least every two years where as LED's last up to 50000 hours - over 5 years and thats if they was continuously in use.
Marine LED also does not have any of the heat issues associated with halide systems as through a combination of fans and heatsink technology will actually draw some of the heat away from your aquarium water.
Adding to this the ability to dim aquarium LED lighting and set daylight, blue light and moon light cycles automatically - aquarium LED is most certainly the next step up from power consuming halide systems. Oue LED range is available in two different models, the KR91 and the KR92. The KR91 is slightly cheaper than the KR92 and yet offers a very high output LED system. The KR92 due to advancements in LED technology are capable of providing more output in a smaller lighting system than the KR91. Both systems have similar features as detailed in their specs and both offer very efficient LED aquarium lighting systems. All of these LED systems can be purchased direct from this website in the usual manner - although please be aware due to the high cost of these systems they do need to be ordered especially for a customer in most cases.
